SUMMARY:South Asia Missions Trip
DESCRIPTION:Partner with MBTS Professor of Missions\, Dr. Robin Hadaway and IMB Representatives during Spring Break to take the Gospel to South Asia. South Asia is one of the two most populous countries in the world and home to over one billion people who need the Gospel of Jesus Christ. On this trip\, you will work alongside IMB representatives in evan­gelism and disciple­ship. Visits to the Taj Mahal and other religious and cultural sites are also included. \nThe cost of the trip will be $2\,595 inclusive of round-trip airfare (from KC\, although alternative departure arrangements are available for online students)\, internal transportation\, medical insurance\, food\, lodging\, tips and tuition for either (or both of) the required evangelism class or the mission practicum. Students are responsible for purchasing an e-visa for South Asia on-line for approximately $20. \nPlease submit a $500 deposit to the business office by December 6\, 2019 which is the last day to sign up for the trip. The final amount is due to the business office by January 31\, 2020. \nGraduate Students can enroll in either:\nMN-5060 Evangelism & Discipleship /OR/ MS-7028 Mission Practicum \nCollege Students can enroll in either:\nU-MN 201 Trip Personal Evangelism and Discipleship /OR/ U-MS 350 Trip Missions Practicum  \nThis trip is open to both on-campus and online students. DESCRIPTION:The annual New Orleans Evangelism trip allows students to interface classroom Bible knowledge with evangelism practice. DESCRIPTION:We’re excited to welcome all incoming new students of Midwestern Seminary and Spurgeon College to campus with a free dinner and concert! \nOn Friday evening (August 16th)\, new students are required to attend the New Student Dinner at 5:15 PM. NSD provides students and their families with an opportunity to connect with other students\, meet faculty and staff members\, hear from Dr. Allen\, and eat some of Kansas City’s best BBQ. Students who register for the dinner will receive a free ticket to the Jimmy Needham concert\, which begins at 7 PM. Prior to the dinner\, students will have an opportunity to take care of any unfinished business before the semester begins. The following offices will be open from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and will expecting students: IT\, Security\, Registrar\, Financial Services\, and Housing. The dinner will begin after the “business portion” of NSD. The attire for the dinner is business casual (men: slacks and button up shirt\, blazer optional; women: dress or slacks and nice blouse). \nAfter the dinner\, new students and their guests will be escorted to a reserved section of the chapel to enjoy the Jimmy Needham concert at 7 PM.
